About Annie Henderson Davis
I am proud and excited to be a candidate for city commission in the city where I was born and raised. I learned civic responsibility from my parents, OC and Clareatha Henderson. Both of my parents made countless impactful contributions to Palatka. My father retired from the Putnam County School District after teaching for more than 30 years. He also served on numerous municipal boards and was very active in his church.
My mother was an impactful community advocate and served in several civic organizations, including the Palatka Historical Society.

I know firsthand what it’s like to grow up in a thriving Palatka. I am a product of the Putnam County School District, graduating in the second class of Palatka High School.
My husband, a Palatka native and career U.S. Army soldier, and I returned home after a successful career. Between us, we bring experience from living abroad and in several US cities. We spent most of our adult lives in Suwanee, a beautiful town northeast of Atlanta, where we raised our children and fully engaged in and with our community. Suwanee was voted “One of the Best Towns to Live in the Country” and we had the good fortune to support its sustainable growth into a thriving, engaging, and fun place to live, work, and play.
Palatka is positioned to be a vibrant, small-town community we can proudly call home. I am prepared to support our city’s department professionals by making legislative decisions that drive sound policies for our future. I aim to understand our past, assess where we are today, and connect our commUNITY for manageable and sustainable growth.
I bring a wealth of experience as a project management professional in the healthcare sector, where I have worked for over 30 years. In addition, I have served as an executive board member of several community-based organizations. Just as I was an actively engaged citizen in my previous town, I have been actively engaged since arriving back in Palatka. I currently serve on the Palatka Citizens Charter Review Committee and am a member of the 2024 Leadership Putnam Cohort.
The experience and skills that allowed me to have a successful career also taught me the importance of critical thinking and sound fiscal policymaking, all of which are critical to providing the city’s administrative team leaders with the strategic tools to excel and
support a strong and vibrant Palatka.
I am the proud wife of Ronnie Davis, the mother of three adult children: Jessica, Justin, and Alexis, and the grandmother of Olivia. As your Group 1 City Commissioner, I will support ordinances, resolutions, and policies that improve the quality of life for our citizens, enhance public safety, create partnerships to strengthen our economy, and allocate and spend every public dollar to support services for a vibrant community.
